Resource Tuner 2

Resource Tuner is a resource editing tool that enables you to customize any 32-bit Windows application by changing and replacing resources within the executable files like .EXE, .DLL, .CPL, and others. This tool allows you to view, extract, replace, edit, and delete the resources of a specified executable.

You can change the icons embedded in a executable, or modify the menu strings, or resize the dialog boxes. Each element of the user interface is right at your fingertips.

Open EXE file

The UI shows you a directory-like structure of the embedded resources, such as images, sounds, dialogs, menus, XML data, HTML data, and toolbars. Not all of those resources support direct editing, but for most you can replace and edit them. This would allow you, for instance, to add your own custom branding to an application, change dialog messages, customize toolbar actions, and so on without having access to the actual source code.

Resource Viewer

Like any other resource editor, Resource Tuner lets you view and edit the executable file's resources. Unlike other resource editors, Resource Tuner provides support for non-typical and compressed executable files. Specifically, with Resource Tuner you can open files compressed with UPX or Upack even without knowing that: your file will be unpacked automatically, i.e. you can edit the hidden data which the other resource editors simply cannot see.

UPX Unpacker

Resource Tuner is an important productivity tool for those who are engaged in editing of resources in Windows executables. Longing to have a personal touch on your favorite application? No matter where it runs - whether on your PC or on your Pocket PC, or even on XBox, it is still a Windows program. What better way than with Resource Tuner, a power resource editing solution you can use now.
